Spring Reset

Updated: Mar 9

Today, as I write this, it just happens to be International Women's Day. I looked this day up to learn more about it, and to my surprise, it's been celebrated since 1911. It is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also serves as a call to action for accelerating gender equality.

I never recognized this day when I was a young adult, but I’m glad that now it’s being celebrated everywhere, out loud. Because of course, GIRLS ROCK!!! 🥰

This month is a time of change. Spring arrives, flowers will soon be in bloom, and warmer weather is welcomed. However, it’s not unusual to still get a little leftover winter weather this time of year. So don't pack up all of your winter clothes yet.

That’s how life can be. Everything may be going smoothly and then, out of nowhere—boom—things go awry. You can feel like you're going backwards instead of moving forward. It doesn’t feel good, but just pause and get yourself back on track.

This is when calling a friend or a family member can help. Lean on someone who can offer emotional support. It can be someone who can help with the kids, chores, or anything that gives you some time to reset.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned since my divorce, it’s the importance of resetting often. The older I get, the more I need it. And every time I reset, it never feels like quite enough time. 😊 Still, I come away feeling rejuvenated, relaxed, and ready to handle those bumps in the road.

So this month, take some time to reset. It’s the last month of the first quarter of 2026. After that, make plans to reset monthly or quarterly. If you can, try a mini-reset each week.

Whatever time you take for yourself, make sure you unplug from social media, step away from the depressing news, and do something that truly makes you happy. 😊

Happy Women’s History Month

Peace and love💜
